sekarang, dengan 6 new civ, bahkan tetap ada customizable ablity, yaitu social policies (jadi dengan civ yang sama, tetap bisa beda flavour dengan social policies. For example, "Military Tradition allows you to build a military unit for free each turn, while adopting Patronage allows you to draw culture cards each turn at a reduced cost.", "Pacifism allows your scouts to explore huts (but not villages), additionally, if you have any scouts, get 1trade and 1culture.")

Combat variant, kalo dulu, misalnya punya 3 unit yang strengthnya 5 tapi udah wounded 4,4,3, total strenght tetap 15. Jadi untuk civ yang barrack heavy (+combat bonus banyak), tapi gak ada tech, bakal susah ngejar karena unitnya mati semua tanpa ada reduction in strenght di musuh.. dengan combat variant, total strength 3 unit tersebut adalah 1,1,2 (health dikurang wound), jadi, defender masih bisa menang apabila unitnya kalah technology atau capitalnya diserang.

menurut gw, jadi lebih fair sih.. tapi meta-game nya jadi lebih ke turtling.. win by military akan lebih sulit (walaupun tetap possible)..

at least kalo lo punya unit yang 2 tech di bawahnya, on average mereka bakal kena hit sampai sisa HP nya 2. artinya, untuk ngalahin capital (+12), bakal butuh sekitar 6 unit (tanpa barrack).. kalau dulu dengan air force 4 biji, lawan unit yang 2 tech di bawah, udah hampir pasti menang.. (air force 4, paling mati 1, jadi 3x5 - minimum strength air force = 15 > 12)..

encourage turtling, sama tech diversity (gak linear harus military terus)..

gw prefer new variant sih keliatannya.. jadi nyerang gak sembarangan.. kalau dulu, decisionnya obvious, harus matiin satu unit pake berapapun strength nya.. (misalnya 5 strength unit udah kena wound 4, di sebelahnya ada 5 strength unit masih full, maka sebagai defending hampir pasti pilih matiin yang 5 strength unit padahal unit dia pasti mati).. kalo sekarang, untuk defender, daripada mati sia2, masih bisa ada kemungkinan menang (walopun unit dia mati, dan attacker gak mati) untuk ambil spoils of war nya

Akhirnya nemu.... JOOOOJ, ubah dong title threadnya jadi Wisdom & Warfare, biar kalo disearch bisa nemu. Masa disearch keyword "Wisdom Warfare" cuman nemu postingan reyner yg bilang available doank.

Eniwei, udah kutelaah rulebooknya (dan detail komponennya). Garis besar yang aku notice justru sekarang ini rasanya udah imbang semua VC. Kalo dulu base game Economic OP, dan Culture weak. Lalu di FF Culture di boost tapi kebanyakan, jadi culture yang OP. Sekarang rasanya semua jadi balance, dan include tech VC juga dapet boost, sehingga bukan jadi timer lagi. Selain itu banyak juga fix yg bikin diem org2 protes.


Balance Fix

Coin di Metal Casting hilang, ditaruh di Railroad - Not only this is more balanced, lebih cocok secara thematic juga!

Leonidas Defense only - Ga pernah kerasa Leonidas sepowerful itu, tapi byk yg protes, ini jadi bikin mereka diem (but still powerful)

Government Change - Fundamentalism jadi usable, Monarchy dan Despotism dibuff, Feudalism, Communism, dan Democracy jadi lebih thematic, dan Republic dinerf (I don't know why)

Endowment of Arts - Ini yang bikin culture jadi ngawur di FF, sekarang lebih balanced.

Seperate health and attack in units - No more people whining dapet unit sucks.



More Content

New Civ - Japanese and Aztecs ini yang rasanya jelas2 powerful. English rasanya juga potential to be strong (mesti dimaenin dulu). Mongols dan Zulu rada meh. Dan France rasanya weak (tapi aku blm ngerasain seberapa besar efeknya social policies, jadi blm bisa ngira2

New Tech - No addition buat culture. Navy dan Logistics jelas2 menggiurkan buat Military. Bureaucracy dan Education mantab buat economic (tier 3 tech akhirnya ada yg bisa gather coin). Dan Education juga HUGE BOOST buat tech dan India.

New Culture Cards - Menghitung jarak Flag harus lebih hati2 lagi nih dengan adanya Migrants, Colonists, dan Immigrants. Barbarian bisa dihire (ala CoC) dan bisa dapet trade gratisan. Tambahan yang mantab buat culture VC.

New Wonders - Akhirnya ada pengganti barrack, dan juga alternatif buat Colossus (Lighthouse) dan alternatif buat Himeji (Leonardo). Notre Dame jelas2 tambahan buat tech. Pentagon bisa buat defend maupun nyerang, Internet untuk economic.

New Relic - Untuk tech (Arc of the Covenant) dan untuk military (Attila's Village)


New Mechanic

Building Program - Very much needed! Moga2 dengan ini lebih banyak wonder yang terbangun

City States - Ini bikin map jadi lebih intersting. Teritorial kita jadi lebih luas (tapi juga jadi lebih ribet utk ngedefend). For me, it's a good addition (remember, I like Area Controls mechanic)

Social Policies - Ini yang paling ngga bisa aku prediksi efeknya sebelum main. I think it's a good addition (perpanjangan tangan dari government), but how good? Itu yg masih tanda tanya. Yang pasti, ini membantu lebih fleksible buat kita yang pingin pursue 2 path to victory (buat backup plan).


So, I disagree with Joji ini encourage turtling. In fact, Military and Battle dapet banyak boost disini. Kalo km neglect military, damagenya lebih besar daripada di base game. Tp kalo km berusaha ikutin military tertingginya, justru karena saking banyak option buat ngeboost military, jatuhnya jadi km ngejar military path anyway. Ini semua mesti pinter2nya berusaha ngatur balancenya dimana.

Duuuuuh ga sabar.... :ngiler:

worth it ga si buat dikoleksi semuanya? gue ada basegamenya, tapi blom dicoba.

am a huuge fan of Civ (PC). uda maen sejak CIV 3.
